Dubai — three fragrances named for the city
Manhattan, Lateefa and Dubai Ocean — the smallest of Surrati’s eleven 2026 collections, three fragrances at one shared price.
Three fragrances make up the Dubai collection — Manhattan, Lateefa and Dubai Ocean — each 100ml, each RM 249. It ties Arabian for the smallest collection on the entire 2026 list, and unlike Arabian, whose two names both point at the region directly, only one of Dubai’s three names carries the city in it at all.
One name from New York, two from the Gulf
Manhattan borrows its name from New York, not Dubai — a reminder that a collection’s title names its price tier and format more reliably than it names every fragrance inside it. Lateefa is a given name, Arabic in origin and common across the Gulf. Dubai Ocean is the one line that states the collection’s own city outright, paired with a second word — Ocean — that neither of the other two shares.
Same price as Arabian and Gourmand
RM 249 puts Dubai in the same price band as two other collections on the list — Arabian and Gourmand — all three sized at 100ml. Price alone won’t tell them apart; the names and the notes each one is built around will.
What Lateefa actually means
Lateefa — لطيفة — is a common Arabic feminine given name, built from a root meaning gentle, kind or subtle. It carries no reference to Dubai, the sea or any of the imagery the other two names lean on; it reads simply as a woman’s name set alongside two very different kinds of title, which is part of why the three don’t obviously belong together on sound alone.
Only one of Dubai’s three names carries the city in it at all.
Tied for the smallest collection
Three fragrances puts Dubai in a tie with Arabian for the smallest collection anywhere on the 2026 list — Roll-On is smaller still, but it isn’t a collection of named fragrances at all, just one product in its own format. Every other collection holds four or more. That makes Dubai and Arabian the two places on the list where the fewest decisions stand between browsing and choosing.
One of each of the three — Manhattan, Lateefa, Dubai Ocean — comes to RM 747.
Three cities, one collection
Manhattan is a New York borough, Dubai gives the collection its own name, and Lateefa carries no city at all. Read as a set, the three names don’t build a single coherent skyline the way a purely place-themed collection might — they read instead as three separate reference points loosely gathered under one price tier and one bottle size, which is closer to how Arabian, Gourmand and most of the rest of the 2026 list actually work: the collection name sets the room the fragrances sit in, not a single story every name inside it has to tell.

No colour, no material in the title
Unlike 1929 (a date), Heritage (a claim about age), or Gourmand (a taste category), "Dubai" names neither a colour, a material nor an abstract idea — it is the only collection title on the list that is simply a place, full stop, with no qualifying word attached to soften or narrow it. Arabian comes closest, but even that names a region rather than one specific city.
From ten names down to one
Collection size across Surrati’s 2026 list runs from ten (1929) down to one (Roll-On, a single product rather than a named range at all), with most of the eleven landing somewhere between two and eight. Three, where Dubai sits, is on the smaller half of that spread — enough names to feel like a real collection rather than a single item, not so many that picking one becomes its own project.
What RM 249 actually buys here
RM 249 for 100ml works out to roughly RM 2.49 per millilitre — close to what 1929’s RM 389/150ml rate comes to (about RM 2.59/ml), and noticeably higher per drop than Heritage’s RM 199/140ml (about RM 1.42/ml). Dubai’s total price looks modest next to 1929’s; its rate per millilitre does not.
A quick decision, by design
Three names at one price and one size makes Dubai one of the fastest collections on the whole site to actually decide within — there’s no seven-name Classic list or ten-name 1929 line to work through, just Manhattan, Lateefa and Dubai Ocean, each RM 249. That doesn’t make the choice less real; it just means the work is entirely in the name and the notes behind it, not in narrowing down a long list first.
